Hello everyone! It’s the last day of 7 Days of Salina! I can’t believe it! It feels like I’ve been posting for like a whole month hahaha! I give props for those who blog daily or make Youtube videos everyday cause that’s some hard work. Anyway, today’s topic is about taking care of yourself. Of course, this whole week I’ve been writing about it but this is about taking care of yourself physically (and kinda mentally) which includes eating healthy (yesterday’s post), and just grooming yourself and feel good as a whole.

As a society, we tend to judge others and ourselves a lot (like I’ve repeated in my previous posts) and we feel insecure about it. I’ve had people come up to me and say offensive things right on my face without any guilt, and getting hate through social media as well. At first, I felt extremely insecure. And with time I felt even more insecure because I would still be around those people who made me feel that way as I felt guilty of leaving them so instead I decided to stay which hurt me quite badly. However, it didn’t take long for me to realize that I do matter and I wouldn’t let people hurt me. So I stayed away from them.

I have learnt not to depend my happiness and confidence on others. I wanted to look at myself in the mirror and just be happy with how I am and compliment myself. If you follow me on Instagram, you may or may not have noticed that I disabled my comments on every post because I’m tired of relying my confidence on others. The amount of likes and comment does not define me. It doesn’t define anyone. My point is, don’t put yourself out there for people to just comment on your photos (and then talk behind your back). Be confident in your own skin. Love yourself for the way you are made. For the way God made you. You are perfect in your own way and don’t let anyone, and by that I mean ANYONE, take that away from you.

The reason why I put this post in the end is because in order to love yourself, you need to first find inner peace (to be satisfied with whatever you have), to knowing the difference between our wants and needs (to know if a person is worth your time and if you really need them), keeping a positive surrounding (so you can learn to stay away from negativity that you just got rid of), finding new hobbies and just trying to discover yourself to the best ability, and so on. I really hope you’ve learnt at least something from these little posts I’ve written because I know how much time I’ve put into writing them because I really wanted to help some of you out there who are struggling with something in your life.

And now finally, my 7 Days of Salina is over. I hope y’all enjoyed reading them as much as I loved writing them. I will take a couple of days or maybe a week off blogging and take the time to write more in advance because school will be starting for me soon and I don’t want to be worrying about not posting.
