All good things must come to an end, even if we don’t want it to. School is about to start so I thought I’d talk about what I did during this summer. During the beginning of June, I published a post called ‘So it Begins‘ where I talked about what I wanted to do this summer. I mentioned three things I wanted to achieve and finally the time has come, where I talk about it (well actually, write about it). Before I get into this, I hope you all are having a wonderful Monday. This week is a fresh start for you to do what you’ve always wanted to so don’t take it for granted. Also just a quick question, are you excited for school? Because in a weird way, I am!

The first thing I mentioned in my earlier post is to read a minimum of 5 novels. And I did! I actually read 6 and I’m so proud of it. If you are curious about what I’ve read, here’s the list:

  1. The Bones of you by Debbie Howells
  2. An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
  3. The Divine Reality: God, Islam and the Mirage of Atheism by Hamza Andreas Tzortzis
  4. Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
  5. Where She Went (If I Stay #2) by Gayle Forman
  6. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter #3) by J.K Rowling

Reading has brought such a huge impact on my lifestyle as a whole; the way I think, the way I talk, the way I write, and even the way I act. Reading has brought the ability for me think more openly about certain stuff. Even if you don’t get summer homework from school (like me) then I highly request you all to read. It’s fun and at the same time, increases your vocabulary for the coming year of school.

The second point I talked about was posting more on my blog. Twice a week to be exact. I went quite well during the beginning but afterwards, it got very busy for me and I couldn’t find time to write so I took a huge gap in between. Although, to make up for that, I posted straight for a week and therefore, I’m satisfied.

And lastly, I mentioned how I wanted to do things out of the ordinary. Now to be fair with you, I am not entirely sure if I did accomplish that. I wanted to do way more but because of my messy schedule, I wasn’t able to. But it’s alright! I still managed to do a lot and that’s what matters.

Overall, I think I had the best summer yet. I spent a lot of time with my family which I always failed to do but not this time. I’m satisfied as hell! And I am ready for school, haha. Anyway, how about you tell me about your summer? Did you set any goals for yourself? Did you manage to accomplish them? Let me know in the comments below!

Much love,
