It’s time for the flames to fly high, candles to lie low, and adding sprinkles of cinnamon and pumpkin to everything you can find; the time of October.
I must admit, October is one of my favorite times of the year. I get so enthusiastic when I know it’s nearby. I feel the most coziest and motivated during this time for some strange reason. Since the past couple of months, I have been living very vividly. I’ve been so focused on my studies, my health, and myself that I forgot about everything else so I just wanted to take some time out and try something different. I sat down at my desk, with a pen and paper in my hand, and jot everything I could think of: my thoughts, my feelings, things I always wanted to do, food I want to try or make, and all that kind of random stuff. In between those lines I found the motivation I’ve been long lacking, therefore why I decided to write again and perhaps make a twist within my blog. A few things that I wanted to try this month are:
1. Start Knitting
This is such a granny-like thing to say but I’ve always wanted to try it out and perhaps make myself a cute hat or something, haha! Just for the sake of fun you know? I mean like how bad can it really be? I guess I’ll never know until I try it out.
2. Do a DIY
I guess you can say that knitting is a DIY but I’m thinking about more vast ideas which you might see in the coming future! Plus I am a type of person who likes to do stuff on my own and not depend on things or people. Making something by myself would be great for a change.
3. Read More
I love reading, but I’ve been slacking so badly since the past two months so I need to keep up with my books!
This last thing that I kept thinking about was this: expect less, do more. Sometimes we find ourselves in a place where we expect others to do so much for us and we end up forgetting the way we should be/act. Since a couple of months, I have been thinking a lot about it and how big of a change it has become in my daily life. I wanted to take this chance for granted and really try to make a difference for others and myself. My aim for this month is just to do something different from yesterday, last month, or even years. I hope you all aim for something similar and perhaps bring a little change to this society as well.
